When you start the program you just have to choose the multimedia image file (ISO, IMG, ZIP, etc.) from your PC or from a URL. Then select the SD or USB card where you want to save it and to finish click on “Flash” to start the recording procedure.
Etcher can create live USB bootable media from Ubuntu or other GNU distributions / Linux. Cannot create bootable USB with Windows, since these images are copied in units byte by byte without modifying the target device.
